On December 4 and 5, the International Relations Department, represented by Adviser Gabriela Guerra, participated in the Decentralized Cooperation Workshop and the VII European Union-Latin America Decentralized Cooperation Conference in Montevideo, Uruguay. The event was attended by local government officials from Latin America and the European Union and representatives of city networks such as ICLEI (Local Governments for Sustainability) and AL-LAs (Euro-Latin American Alliance for Cooperation among Cities).

The Decentralized Cooperation Workshop was aimed at updating participants' knowledge and skills on the topic, based on a discussion of theoretical and practical tools for the conception and execution of projects of this type. Then, the VII European Union-Latin America Decentralized Cooperation Conference was held to systematize and disseminate the production of knowledge, as well as to improve institutional capacities that will allow the expansion of the results and impacts of decentralized cooperation projects.
