The City Hall of Rio de Janeiro, through the General Department of International Relations, and the Deputy Mayor of the Israel, the city of Tel Aviv, Mr. Roberto Reuven Ladijanski, promoted on Wednesday (June 17) a videoconference between the board of Ichilov Hospital - Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center and representatives of the municipal hospitals of Campaign, located in Riocentro, and Ronaldo Gazolla, which is in Acari. On the schedule, the study of possible modalities of cooperation between health units of the two cities, in face of the crisis caused by Covid-19.

The directors presented an overview of the current situation in their respective cities, exchanging information on protocols of conduct adopted and drugs used in the treatment of patients with the new coronavirus. The Ichilov Hospital - Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center, represented by the General Director Mr. Ronni Gamzu, was willing to establish more concrete mechanisms of collaboration to send material and equipment that can contribute to the treatment of patients in Rio's municipal hospitals.

The hospital units Ronaldo Gazolla and Campaign will present a relations with the main items of interest so that Ichilov can analyze the feasibility of sending / assigning them.

The action strengthens the bonds of friendship between the cities of Rio de Janeiro and Tel Aviv regarding international cooperation at a time of global crisis.
